As an accountable institution, we must comply with Financial Intelligence Centre Act (FICA) requirements. This means that for identification and verification purposes, clients must provide us with certain personal information and documents to open an account.

2. No proof of residential address needed

As part of Capitec’s new approach to FICA requirements, you no longer have to provide a proof of address when you open a Capitec account or apply for credit.

Note: You may be asked to provide supporting documents in order to complete the process
